CORNERSTONE, the band featuring YNGWIE MALMSTEEN/ex-RAINBOW frontman Doogie White and ex-ROYAL HUNT bassist Steen Morgensen, has re-signed with Massacre Records for the European release of its new album, entitled "Two Tales and One Tomorrow". An early 2007 release is planned.

GLENN HUGHES’ tour band will be Jeff Kollman on guitar, Mark Mondesir on drums and Anders Olinder on keys.

THE KINKS may reunite although it all depends on Dave Davies health.

Iggy & The Stooges are working on their first studio album since 1973. They're recording in Chicago with Steve Albini, and it should be released in April by Virgin. As yet untitled, expect it to include the songs 'End Of Christianity', 'ATM', 'Trollin'', 'Greedy Awful People', 'Claustrophobia'. 'Mexican Guy' and 'I'm Fried'.

"Endless Highway: The Music of the Band," is due Jan. 30 via 429 Records, an imprint of the Savoy Label Group. The set is led by My Morning Jacket's cover of "It Makes No Difference," recorded at Band drummer Levon Helm's home studio in Woodstock, N.Y.
Also featured is Jakob Dylan's "Whispering Pines," Death Cab For Cutie's "Rocking Chair," Jack Johnson's "I Shall Be Released," Gov't Mule's "The Shape I'm In" and Gomez's "Up on Cripple Creek." John Hiatt teams with the North Mississippi Allstars for "Ain't No More Cane," while the Allman Brothers Band covers "The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down."

Frontiers Records is pleased to celebrate ROYAL HUNT with the release of “2006 Live” a 2CD and DVD on December 8th 2006!
ROYAL HUNT is a major force in nowadays Melodic Metal scene. Behind the band are 8 studio albums, all are true masterpieces and the Hunters sold well over a million copies of them worldwide.
The band underwent a major transition in December ‘04 when guitarist Jacob Kjaer and bass player Steen Mogensen both terminated their tenure with ROYAL HUNT. Newly installed would be guitarist Marcus Jidell, a scene veteran of JEKYLL & HYDE and THE RING and former drummer Kenneth Olsen. The bass position was filled in July 05 by HOUSE OF SHAKIRA and SPIKE man Per Schelander.
Together with main songwriter Andre Andersen on keyboards and extraordinary singer John West, they picked the historic stage of St. Petersburg’s Music Hall to film their new “live in concert” DVD on. A beautiful old theatre and some 1000+ enthusiastic fans created great atmosphere for this event, which lasted about 2 hours (the band played a wide selection of songs from all of their releases since 1991 and some tracks from the latest one – “Paper Blood”) and was captured by 7 cameras.
The DVD – to be released in NTSC format region free and with Mix in 2.0 and 5.1 – is a truly extraordinary package which also includes some backstage footage as well as interviews with band members and their road crew, while the 2cd set is the ultimate ROYAL HUNT package, an essential item for all the long time fans and a celebration for the years to come !

In the late Eighties, Big Hair combined with heavy guitars produced a Big Rock sound. While groups like Van Halen, Motley Crue and Bon Jovi were ripping up the charts in the U.S., Greg Fraser and Stevie Skreebs were unleashing their own vibrations in Canada with their legendary group BRIGHTON ROCK. Before long, the band was touring throughout the world entertaining sold out concerts, and carving their niche in Rock history. But when the big guitar sounds of the 80's were replaced by Seattle's grunge movement, Brighton Rock founders Fraser and Skreebs decided to take a break from the limelight and took that opportunity to recharge their batteries and change up their game plan. Like any good vacation, the break has resulted in a fresh new sound, a rocking charge of music quite unlike anything else they've done before. The rebirth takes shape in a brand new explosive band... FRAZE GANG...
Fronted by BR lead guitarist & vocalist Greg Fraser with help from his partner in crime BR bassist Stevie Skreebs and rounded out by powerhouse drummer Phil Epp. Fraze Gang have just released their self titled debut CD consisting of 12 arena rock anthems that are sure to bring back the party-hearty feel of the 80's with the kick ass attitude of 2006. Fraze Gang are here to keep the dream alive!

TALISMAN singer Jeff Scott Soto was very kind to provide us with insights on the lyrics and songwriting of the brand new album “7” to be released on October 20th on Frontiers Records. Enjoy the read !

Falling
Wrote this one about someone who is supposed to be there for you through thick & thin, like a marriage partner or a lover, but when the chips are down, they just leave you out to dry. This happened to me with someone I worked with in my career.

Nowhere Fast
This also was about someone I thought I could trust & just stabbed me in the back when I turned for a second. I try to write my lyrics in a way that could be adapted to several scenarios, most of them sound like boy/girl situations but they are mostly about other personal experiences, whether they're mine or someone I know of.

Rhyme & Reason
This is the opposite of the 1st 2, it shows the love & trust of one to another can exist without rhyme or reason, just because...

End Of The Line
This is part 2 of 'Falling', this person had a very deep affect on me enough to make me want to write about them...I go to my grave on who its about though :)

The 1 I'm Living 4
I wrote this about the fantasy & idea of love at 1st sight...I got the idea from my son & his experiences with love & dating, as we get older, we realise the reality of relationships & just how much is necessary in successful ones but as youngsters, we dive straight in with the fantasy 'it will last forever'.

On My Way
This one is about my dealings with record labels & how they insist you do things 'they're way' instead of expressing creative control. It can also be about a controlling lover in a relationship...you choose which you like it to be about!

Forevermore
This I wrote about the 15 year anniversary of Freddie Mercury's death. There are a few Queen title references in the song that make it obvious but it is my tribute to one of the greatest artist's of pop music. RIP Freddie

Succumb To My Desire
I decided to get down & dirty with this one lyrically, it could be Colour My XTC Part II, especially in the talking section where I rip straight from the lyrics of the old tune.

Shed A Tear Goodbye
This song musically was written by Jamie, our drummer, who asked me to specifically write the lyrics about what he was recently going through in his personal life. Since we've all been there before & knowing his personal details, I knew exactly how to treat it...it's about a relationship one takes for granted yet doesn't see it coming when the other finally calls it quits. One of those 'don't know what you got till it's gone' songs.

Troubled Waters
This too is the result of 2 people finding less in common as the years go on. Very often people change like hair styles or fashion leaving relationships or even friendships doomed.

Back To The Feeling
This is about a time I recently went through where I was very close to finally giving up in the music biz. I started losing the incentive to continue & through some inspiring recent contacts & writing partners, found a new confidence to not only continue but to do so with a fervor that had no room for failure...seemed to work :)
