METALLICA are set to go back into the studio in January to start recording the follow-up to 2003's 'St. Anger'. The band are said to have around 25 songs written for the album which they will narrow down to a single album during the recording sessions with legendary producer RICK RUBIN. The band have compared the new material to their classic 1986 album 'Master Of Puppets'.
