TYPE O NEGATIVE's latest album, "Dead Again", has sold just over 22,000 copies in its first week of release to debut at position no. 27 on The Billboard 200 chart.

Frontiers Records is proud to announce the release of The Revenge the greatly anticipated second charter of the Allen / Lande musical alliance on May 11!
The first result of Jorn Lande and Russell Allen's collaboration, The Battle was unleashed in September 2005 with unanimous acclaim from fans and critics alike. Many websites and magazines named it “Record of the Year”. Its success made it one of the most popular releases ever in Melodic Heavy Metal, thanks to beautiful, sweeping piano and keyboards, heavy guitar riffs, virtuoso guitar solos, hooky choruses and the vocal talents of two of the finest Heavy Metal vocalists around.
Russell Allen is the singer of the American Progressive Metal band Symphony X, who have released six studio albums and one live record so far. More than once Symphony X received accolades such as "Best Progressive Power Metal Band Worldwide" or awards for the "Best Progressive Metal Album of the Year".
Highly rated ex-Masterplan vocalist Jorn Lande has a vocal capability that is world class, distinctive, rich and spanning a large range. He is in high demand and has appeared as guest or sung for such bands as Millenium, Ark, The Snakes and many others. He is also a well-known solo artist with six studio albums released, since the debut Starfire in 1999.
Once again songs were written by guitar sensation Magnus Karlsson (Starbreaker, Last Tribe), the second chapter aptly titled The Revenge is ready to be unleashed, with cover art specifically designed for this project by Rodney Matthews (Diamond Head, Magnum, Asia etc.)
Heavier and with a tighter production, thanks to the involvement of Dennis Ward (Pink Cream 69, Angra, Place Vendome) at the mix, this album will excite the many fans who loved the first chapter and everyone who declares themselves fan of quality Hard Rock or Metal.
The Revenge will include the following songs: The Revenge (vocals: Jorn and Russell); Obsessed (Russell); Victory (Jorn and Russell); Master Of Sorrow (Jorn); Will You Follow (Russell); Just A Dream (Jorn and Russell); Her Spell (Jorn); Gone Too Far (Russell); Wake Up Call (Jorn and Russell); Under The Waves (Jorn); Who Can You Trust (Jorn and Russell); When Time Doesn't Heal (Jorn and Russell).
The Revenge will be out in Europe on Frontiers Records on May 11, with release in Japan scheduled on King Records.

PRESS RELEASES

Eagle Rock Entertainment will release Paul Rodgers' debut solo DVD "Live In Glasgow" on May 29 and CD on April 17.
"Live In Glasgow", recorded in October of 2006 on the last date of his sold-out U.K. tour (which included a date at London's prestigious Royal Albert Hall), is stunning proof that Rodgers' voice has gained strength and sounds stronger than ever. This 135-minute DVD, shot with 13 cameras, includes brand new songs "Warboys (A Prayer for Peace)" and "Far Distant Shore", as well as songs he has not performed in 35 years, and many of his hits, including "All Right Now", "Feel Like Making Love" and "Can't Get Enough". Soulful, bluesy, swaggering, he belts out his songs, and also plays piano and guitar. The band: guitarist Howard Leese (HEART), bassist Lynn Sorenson, drummer Ryan Hoyle (COLLECTIVE SOUL) and 17-year old guitar prodigy Kurtis Dengler.

Rodgers' growing resume reads like a rock history lesson. This platinum-selling singer, songwriter and self-taught multi-instrumentalist has written, recorded, produced and released 28 albums. He found and led three bands to international success: FREE (1968-1973), BAD COMPANY (1974-1982) and THE FIRM with Jimmy Page (1984-1986) and now enjoys a Grammy-nominated solo career. In 2005 -06, he joined forces with QUEEN's Brian May and Roger Taylor for the successful QUEEN + PAUL RODGERS world tour, performing songs from both catalogues, plus Rodgers' new song "Take Love". He continues to tour and record internationally as a solo artist.

REVIEWS

BLACKFIELD ‘II’ Snapper Music (2007) www.snappermusic.com

The second and eagerly awaited album by Blackfield, comprising of the duo Aviv Geffen and Porcupine Tree’s Steve Wilson. Various other musicians are added to the mix and special mention to Aviv’s string arrangements that ad greatly to the sound but without dominating it.
Without a doubt these two musicians are a match made in heaven as the arrangements, vocals and most importantly the songs are sheer bliss to listen to. From the opener ‘Once’ with its glorious harmony filled chorus through to the closing track ‘End of the World’ (this along with two other tracks sees the two sharing vocals and they compliment each other very well), each and every song is lovingly created. This may sound like over the top praise but listen to this album and you will be transported to musical heaven. There are no real ‘get up and go’ pop rockers on here, the emphasis is more on keyboard led songs, with songs like ‘Christenings’ and ‘Some Day’ just crying out for airplay as they would be become instant favourites I am sure.
If you like Porcupine Tree in their more reflective moments such as ‘Lazarus’ you really should try Blackfield as you won’t be disappointed.
