Rush return with their first new collection of original material in nearly five years with the release of 'Snakes & Arrows' which is scheduled for release on May 1st through Atlantic Records. The album was recorded in the fall of 2006 with Grammy Award-winner Nick Raskulinecz (Foo Fighters, Velvet Revolver) and Rush co-producing.
The collection’s first single, “Far Cry,” is set to hit rock radio outlets nationwide in mid-March. “It’s hard to describe,” Geddy Lee recently told Revolver re: 'Snakes & Arrows' “It’s big, it’s bold, and I think it’s some of the best work we’ve done in years. I’m really pleased with the quality of the songs, and there’s lots of playing on it.” Rush - Lee, Alex Lifeson, and Neil Peart - will trumpet the release of 'Snakes & Arrows' with a full-scale North American tour, the renowned trio’s first since 2004’s. “An Evening with Rush: 30th Anniversary Tour.” The trek is slated to traverse the continent through the summer.

Launch Radio Networks reports: NICKELBACK is releasing one more single from its 2005 album, "All The Right Reasons", and it's "Side Of A Bullet", a song inspired by the death of PANTERA and DAMAGEPLAN guitarist "Dimebag" Darrell Abbott. NICKELBACK frontman Chad Kroeger told Launch about the first time he played the track for Dimebag's brother, drummer Vinnie Paul. "I called Vinnie, I wanted to get his blessing, and I play him the tune and I'm telling him that it's this very PANTERA-inspired riff," Chad said. "He was into it. He was digging it over the phone, and then he says, 'You know what, dude? You gotta write one for Dime.' And I said, 'Well, I wasn't quite sure how to lead into this, but that's what the song's about, and I kind of want to get your blessing on it.'And he's like, 'Brother, of course you have my blessing.'"
Arjen Lucassen has quit STREAMS OF PASSION to concentrate on AYREON and now Lori Linstruth and Alejandro Millán have left the band as well. However the band will continue.
The new U.D.O. album "Mastercutor“ will be released on May 21st, 2007.

Immergent release a Deluxe Tour Edition of Gillan’s Inn, the current celebrated album from legendary singer and Deep Purple front man Ian Gillan on 16th April. Gillan toured North America in August and September last year and captured on this special edition CD and DVD is the thrill that is a concert tour. The original Gillan’s Inn audio CD, now features 3 new bonus tracks and the DVD is also expanded with more content from the tour including backstage moments, tour bus fun, inebriated interviews and much more.
With the release of Gillan's Inn, Ian Gillan celebrated an unprecedented career as the quintessential voice of rock music. The album served as a dynamic retrospective of Ian's solo repertoire, in addition to his work as the lead singer for Deep Purple and Black Sabbath. However, this is not a collection of previous recordings, but rather, fresh takes on some of the most memorable songs of the rock genre.
